As a development worker, I was involved in biogas production with farmers in the 198o's. I am still working with organic farmers and trying to find niche market for their products. I am also collaborating with a local company that provides solar energy services to rural communities. I am interested to start a business using banana and other organic wastes to produce methane/ethanol in Southern Belize. I am hoping to get technical advice and support from other businesses in other countries.

Toledo Green Energy is a small group of environmentalists/development workers interested in developing green energy (methane/ethanol) from organic wastes, especially bananas. The banana industry produces a lot of waste products which can be utilized to produce energy as mentioned above.
We plan to do research and access funding to start a small business in the near future. I would be grateful if more information could be provided to us to move forward.
