The opportunity was also taken to develop two Advisory Groups, one for funding, and the other for programmes. These groups are made up of members of the Partnership Board, as well as external cross-sectoral experts including private fund managers, social investors, philanthropists and development banks These groups will explore ways for combining GVEP International’s activities with other energy actors, and maximising outreach and sustainability.
The majority of the GVEP International team were also in London, including our new Regional Manager for East Africa, Mahesh Gohil, an expert in designing and developing innovative entrepreneurship programmes. We were very grateful to have the dedicated input from so many experienced people, ensuring that GVEP International continues to move in the right direction.
