-
Working with the community of San Francisco de Raymina in Ayacucho, PerĂº, this project will set up a community based business where renewable energies will be used to set up new product lines and improve the quality of life of the members of the community. Around 50 family leaders will receive training in different aspects of business (marketing, management, product lines, etc.) as well as technical training to run renewable energy solutions (wind, solar, etc.) to provide the power required to create new product lines and add value to existing ones. As well as producing and drying medicinal herbs and seeds and Andean grains, a dairy product line will be set up together with fruit processing and brick manufacturing.
The project will also set up a new market for these products, building areas in the village to receive tourists and improving the quality of the products themselves to expand sales.
