Gender and Energy Research and Training
Wendy Annecke of Gender and Energy Research and Training is an international expert in monitoring and evaluation and plays an important role in the International Monitoring and Evaluation of Energy in Development (M&EED) Working Group which was initially convened by GVEP. In DEEP East Africa, GERT will build on the tools developed in this working group and show how they can be best applied. She has experience in energy enterprise development through working with the GVEP/UNDP/South African initiative of Integrated Energy Centres, and as the Chair of the Energia Advisory Board (the international network for gender and sustainable energy) will ensure gender challenges are addressed in the project.
