The Aga Khan Foundations’ Coastal Rural Support Project, Kenya:
The CRSPK has been active in the Coast Province in Kenya since 1997 as an integrated rural development project. Initially focused primarily on ensuring food security in target communities, it introduced a new focus on business development in 2002. To date, CRSP,K’s business development activities have been focused on agri-business potentials, including honey and aloe production. DEEP-EA will build on CRSPK’s enterprise development component by introducing a new focus on energy businesses.
